Intelligent and green manufacturing solutions highlighted in YiwuTex 2016

With the theme of "Enabling Design and Fabrics Innovation through New Textile Technologies", YiwuTex 2016 was greatly supported by new and recurring exhibitors. The 13,200 sq.m. show area accommodated 160 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions to showcase 555 professional textile machineries. A full spectrum of smart and automated machineries and innovative fabric technologies were demonstrated at the show. Many exhibitors, exchanging information on cost-effective transformation solutions with industry buyers, highly valued the professionalism and business result of YiwuTex 2016.

The 3-day show attracted 9,380 local and international trade visitors from 36 countries and regions. Over 60 industrial associations and enterprise delegations visited the show and some textile enterprises have placed orders on-site.



The request for a structural adjustment of textile and apparel industry is imperative, which encourages enterprises to adopt creative design, new materials and big data to integrate resources and achieve transformation. YiwuTex 2016 has invited international experts to share new concepts and cutting-edge technologies in terms of "Advanced Textile Industry Forecasting" and "Knitted Digital Print Arena". A list of seminar topics include "New Fibers Innovation", "Planning and Scheduling Optimization System for Apparel Production", "Advanced Planning and Scheduling System for Textile Supply Chain", "The Breakthrough Technology of Hosiery Fiber", "Digital Printing Technology Used in Varied Textile Fabrics", etc., were brought to the fair visitors. Visitors have shown their great enthusiasm during the events.



The Santoni Sports Socks Design Competition has attracted a number of designers to join and present their creative design concepts. The final award presentation ceremony was also successfully held on 15 June with six excellent winners whose diversified and multi-functional product designs have won the appreciation of judges and on-site visitors.



Another highlight of YiwuTex 2016, the Knitwear Display Zone, has showcased many cutting-edge hosiery products from renowned exhibitors. The functional socks for Elderly from the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) aimed to provide moisturizing and antibacterial functions, as well as comfortable hand touch for the elderly who suffered from dry skin or poor blood circulation. The Lycra® LIVING LIGHTS technology developed by INVISTA equipped stockings with more natural looking and rich colors, providing consumers with fashionable, comfortable and slinky stockings.
