MNR Design Ltd. bags LEED Gold certificates from USGBC

  • Desk Report

MNR Design Limited, the country's leading apparel company, has gained global recognition for producing eco-friendly garments. They have achieved the prestigious Gold certification for sustainable green building construction under the USGBC's LEED certification for modern factories.

Tritech's state-of-the-art HVAC system has played an exemplary and effective role in making MNR's new factory more eco-friendly.

Generally, high-temperature (400-500 degrees Celsius) exhaust gases are generated during power generation from gas generators. When this waste heat is released into the environment, the carbon released into the air accelerates problems like global warming. Leaving this heat unused is a waste of valuable fuel.

Tritech converts this waste heat into steam through EGB and uses it in the cooling process through Japan-made Kawasaki brand absorption chillers. This reduces the exhaust gas temperature to 150 degrees Celsius and reduces the harmful effects of carbon emissions high-temperature.

USGBC honors factories based on several criteria such as transformation performance, energy, water, and waste management. The best performers are rated with platinum, followed by gold and silver.

According to the USGBC, MNR Design Limited, a sister concern of MNR Group completed a detailed review of the project certification and performance data and achieved the certification.
