Bangladesh government has appointed former senior secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan as the Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Senior Secretary of the Internal Resources Division for the next two years on a contractual basis.

Mosharraf replaced M Nojibur Rahman who was made Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification on 3 January in this regard. As per the notification, the appointment will come into effect from the date of his joining the post.
